    How To Verify Your Blog On Google,Bing And Yahoo - HB SEO Series



    In first article of series we learned that How to submit blog/website to search engines ? Now we are are one step ahead.In this post we are going to verify a blog or website on leading search engines such as Google,Bing and Yahoo.Once you verify your site then you can use SEO services provided by Google Webmasters Tools Or Bing Webmasters.These webmaster tools will help you alot to improve SEO of your blog.They will also help to to get sitelinks for your blog early,I have posted a detailed tutorial about Google Sitelinks you can find that article here.The structure of HelperBlogger SEO Series is as follows

    Article 1 - Submit Blog/Website To Search Engines


    Article 2 - Verify Your Blog/Website On Google,Bing and Yahoo


    Article 3 - Submitting Blogger Sitemap To Google,Bing and Yahoo Without Errors.

    Now lets verification

    How To Verify Blog/Website On Google,Bing And Yahoo?


    Here I am giving step by step tutorial for verifying your blog/website on Google,Bing And Yahoo...Just follow my steps carefully,you will simply and quickly verified your blog or website.

    How To Get Verified By Google?

    • First go to Google Webmasters Tools.
    • Login with your gmail account which you are using with blogger.(Here we will verify our demo blog)
    • Now click verify this site which you want to be verified. 
    (Note - If your blog/website has automatically verified by google then this link will not visible)

    • Now a webpage will open.
    • Change tab to "Alternate methods" and select first option "Add a meta tag to your site's home page"

    • Now copy the code given in text box.
    • Go to Blogger Dashboard > Design > Edit HTML
    • Now find for <head> tag.
    • Add the code just below <head> tag and save your template.
    • After adding code again back to webmaster tools and click on Verify Button.

    • After clicking verify button you will get this message.

    Now you have successfully verified your blog/website on Google Wemaster Tools.

    Now let's go to Bing.

    How To Verify Your Blog/Website on Bing?





    • Now enter your blog URL and hit "Submit" Button.


    • Now select the option two,the window will expand and it will contains verification code.Copy that code.


    • Now go to Dashboard > Design > Edit HTML.
    • Search for <head> tag.
    • Add copied code just below <head> tag and hit "Verify" button.
    • After hitting Verify button you will directly redirect to Dashboard.


    Verifying On Yahoo


    Yahoo! Search has merged Site Explorer into Bing Webmaster Tools.If you have already verified your blog on bing webmaster tools then it will automatically verified by Yahoo !

    All done !

        I want to verify my blog via Google using a meta tag; I had a blogspot account via blogger, but i decided to buy my own domain. My own domain metatag was incorrect for blogger; i entered it into the html and it said it was incorrect.
        I entered the metatag via godaddy site and it takes time to work what are your thoughts? Thanks paul
